• Today Sunday 24 march my wife and I visited the hooton hotel for asunday roast carvery my wife ordered beef and myself gammon the lady carving the meats looked to be struggling carving the beef it looked that tough the selection of veg looked excellent we eat out at lots of local carverys on most Sundays the hooton we have never tried before it is a little dearer than most local carverys but not much we sat down to eat after choosing our veg my wife was struggling to cut the beef it really was that tough my own meat the gammon was practically raw and uncooked I always order gammon when we go to other carverys and always enjoy it this was awful we returned our meals to the waitress with out taking a mouthful the waitress appologised but there was no other apologies from management or chef as said earlier the veg looked very nice but the main part of the meal the meat was awful we finished our drinks and left to eat elsewhere never to return

• 25.08.12. Whilst eating my steak I found plastic on the underside of my Steak. I told the waitress who spoke to the manager. He came over and took the plastic away to the kitchen. Came back from the kitchen and said it was the wrapping the steak had been in and said he was sorry. He did not say anything else like I have spoken to the chef and he will make sure this will never happen again. I for one would not eat here again as his customer care was extremely poor. He may have had a bad day but you do not treat customers like this. A VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER I live locally and will tell all my friend about this cooking food with Plastic is not healthy. I feel this is the best way to let other know about what happened. (I have never put a review on a web site but this was very poor)
