• We had our wedding reception at Chez Sophie at the Harrow Inn in June 2011. Martin and Sophie were extremely helpful, catering for our every needs. They laid on an amazing barbeque and evening buffet, at very reasonable cost and we were given the whole of the pub and restaurant for the day and evening. It is such an attractive cosy, unpretentious venue that naturally lends its self to private family parties and weddings. There was room for our disco, and they even put up a large marquee in the back garden in case it rained at no extra cost. As a wedding venue it was perfect for our needs. We had about 150 guests which made the pub feel cosy without feeling too full. There was plenty of parking for all our guests and the deal they gave us was exceptional. Probably the most important point to raise is that both Martin and Sophie are really nice, helpful and very accomodating. They put my mind at rest and gave me real confidence in the evening reception which was one less thing for me to worry about during the day. If you are looking for a lovely informal afternoon / evening wedding reception with BBQ, finger food and great hosts, then I highly recommend you go visit this venue. I have eaten at the restaurant and it is tasty french cuisine without the rediculous price tag of London French eateries.
