• Down to earth friendly pub that has live music events fairly regularly.I would class it as my local. I think 'R' whoever he/she is, must be a bit of an old fart. Perhaps it's 'R' for ahhh, slippers and bed at 9. I live not far from the pub and I can't hear the music. I suppose every village has to have a moaning mini. The only downside is food is not always on and a nice Sunday roast would be lovely.

• This is a wonderful place to take all the family for Sunday lunch. We are a family of 12 and had a wonderful time at the Halfway House. May I thank all the staff at the Halfway House for the Service and food 5*

• A very friendly, homely, family-style pub with large home-cooked meals at a very reasonable price. I eat here often. Senior Citizens can buy a two-course meal for under a fiver on Tuesdays.

• myself and 13 of my family had christmas dinner here last night, and it was fantastic, it was all fresh and very large portions, hats off to mary and jackie for a wonderful feast, i will certainly be going there again .
