• I have very coarse, thick, wavy and unruly hair. It’s rare to find a salon who can give a stylish cut, fab colour all at a great price - Alex is the only hairdresser I trust who doesn’t cut too much off and keeps the colour natural. Turkish hairdressers understand thick horsey hair and don’t charge extra for the extra time it takes to style and colour. Alex and his staff serve refreshments, biscuits and are always kind, warm and welcoming. 20+ years of great service - please come back soon - my hair needs you!

• I have been going 2 alax for 15yrs so does my husband and children. Never had problems,always very kind,plenty of coffee and biscuits while waiting.for the 1st time for new year i had my hair coloured,fantastic they stayed open longer.my mother is now going. Thank you Alax and friends.

• First of all I do not agree with the comments made above. I have been a customer of hair by Alex for 10 years and I must say the premises is very clean. Alex himself has 45 years of experience in hairdressing, he is very polite and humble to its customers and staff. Alex has always cared about its customers. Besides, there is no need for a voucher for this salon, I have no idea what's been said above comments. I have recommended many of my family and friends and they all enjoy the environment at Hair By Alex. Those comments that are made above are possibly coming from the people who has issues with Alex. I am absolutely shocked over the negative comments made about this salon. I recommend this friendly salon toeveryone !!!!!!!

• 100% agreed with the other comment, It is not a nice professional salon. Alex is very rude and patronising from the moment you enter the salon. Did not look at my hair but decided that it was too thick and there will be extra charge for it. Not a good deal STAY AWAY!!!

• I went there because I bought a groupon voucher. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! She was really rude, treating bad to her staff. Speaking about herself and not listening to nobody else. Making fun of me. They charge me more money than the agreed on the voucher with no reason. The saloon was empty a Saturday morning! It was a dirty place, really dodgy. I could not believe it!

• Went for a root colour. After the colour the hair were white in several places near the root. Asked them why that was. The owner started yelling at me. Very rude and shoddy work. Try at your own risk. I will never enter the parlour again even if they offer free service. No air conditioning. Inexperienced staff. Bad attitude.
