• All though excellent food all the time, but what annoys me is u ask for jumbo sausage get home to find two small sausages.would it not be good manners to tell you they don't have any jumbo sausages.you don't ask for piece of fish and find you get given fish cake ,and pay the full price for it.learn some decent customer service please.so my children are not dissapointed

• Generally ok but the chips are never cooked for long enough and therefore soggy

• Because I always go there at busy times, they remove the chips from the fryer far to soon and we end up with anaemic looking soggy chips. This is a regular accurance.

• The reviews of Goodies do not make sense, all of them extremes hating and loving. This means something is wrong with the review system here. Personally I feel Goodies is the best fish & chip shop in Hampshire. The Haddock is the best I have ever had, but I do agree the staff need to either leave or stop making the customers feel like they ought to apologise for being there. Some of them look bored to the point of hostility.

• I cannot understand why people go here. The food is substandard, the portion sizes are meagre and its overpriced! Seriously, the best fish and chips in Totton is the one down Salisbury Road, the Chinese takeaway.

• Visited this evening, staff abrupt, small, greasy overpriced portions. Asked for cod got some other fish instead. Not good.

• Not good went @ 8-30 on a Wednesday eve ordered 3 x steak and kidney pies was told sorry we only have what is in the hot counter I asked if they could heat 3 pies for me and the answer was a firm no ! Why stay open till late if you won't cook what people want

• I must say that I'm not impressed by Goodies on a recent visit to buy cod and chips. The portion of chips supplied with the fish was very small for the money. When I asked why the portion of chips was so small the owner was very rude, telling me it was down to the price of spuds and I could "* off" if I didn't like it. Annoyed, I took them home to weigh. A measly 280g! Quality of the chips was OK, but they were awfully greasy, though. The fish was also greasy bit chewy and if I'm honest didn't taste at all like cod. Next time I want fish and chips I'll be back at the Testwood Chef!

• OK, so this place has the best cod ever. You would have to travel a long way to match the taste and quality that is here. Even Marco Pierre White has been here and complemented the Haddock.

• do not go here , its rubbish quility of fish and soggy chips aswell as a overpriced menu 4.50 for cod !

• Good quality fish ruined due to being nearly cold. Chips kept too long in warm store so they are soft and greasy. What has happened to this fish bar, gone down hill. Won't be returning again.

• Whats GOOD about it ? because they are expensive rubbish or that you get 3 in a bag if you are lucky, or maybe you like oil,,,,, if they were in the West Midlands they would not have a business. change your bags for envelopes you could rip us of even more then...
