• Excellent Sunday roast beef meal and good real ale at a decent price. Recommended. The staff were very friendly, helpful and very informal as you would expect in a country pub.

• The worst dinner I've ever had! My poor child dropped their dinner and the manageress or chef or farm hand lady (god knows as she was smoking and sweeping poo from the garden and cooking.. apparently!) I was told that as she hasn't dropped the food that it was my fault and I was duly charged twice. The locals were how're very pleasant and to be expected in a local country pub which was lovely to see. I would return for the locals alone but never for the management/farm hand/owners? I was disgusted at the service and would not recommend the mediocre food ever! I feel this pub which I have seen change hands many times is now being run by a family who are more intersted in saying no than serving customers who pay. I truly hope that a new owner takes over soon so that it can return to the warm atmosphere of locals friendly attitudes and salon lose this unawarded (Michelin starred restaraunt status) superior status attitude!! I do not recommend the current management/owners! I've no idea if she was the owner or not but that attitude I can only assume that she owns it as if I did I'd have given her her marching orders right there and then!!

• We stopped using this pub as it all went downhill some time ago. It is now under new management and is back to its old superb self. Friendly staff, good beer and the food looks great. Looking forward to trying Sunday lunch. Well done to the new owners, your efforts show.
