• Just returned from having a meal there. Food excellent but awful service. Having taken the time to phone before arriving we were told to take any (un-set)table. Waitress took order promptly and drinks arrived. Tea-light on table couldn't be lit and no repacement offered, although we later saw many unused candles on the bar. Starters came and after waiting a few minutes we had to go to the bar to ask for salt/pepper. One main course arrived without vegetables and again, afer waiting, we had to ask for them. Apology given but no serving spoon/fork with vegetables when they arrived. My husband had ordered a sweet but after waiting for over ten minutes and the waitress passing our table twice he decided not to bother. When going to the bar to pay he was asked if he wanted his ice cream because it was "just lying there". Given that the place wasn't particularly busy attention to detail and customer satisfaction badly let this establishment down. Pity, because food was well presented, tasty and good value for money but we wont be going back.
