• A welcoming family reception, attentive to detail, lovely home made (real) food and a good choice. Nothing is too much trouble, a real unsung gem of a traditional English public House. Only 800 meters from the A1 and you think you are in the Country. Play areas, animals in the garden. It should be a secret.. best thing ... The Land lady is Bananas!

• The food was very good as in vegetables fresh and food was hot on the plate . The only dissapointment was the portion size of the meat . Two small slices of beef was a let down .

• Visited this quaint country pub 8/8/11 during a major power cut to the area.Sitting in candlelight whilst taff carried on as normal.They were amazing friendly and helpfull and still tried to provide a menu with very limited resources.They have real ale real character and a real sence of humor in this pub. It felt as though I was a local. An excellent example of a traditional pub and the kind of welcome and service I thought was long gone. Highly recomended.

• Visited this pub on 19/03/11 at lunch time. Service was excellent and very friendly. Menu was wide and varied, food was great. Would recommend visiting this lovely traditional, English pub if you are in the area.
