• We've been going to the Flintlock for 12 years now. We find the food excellent and the Landlord and his wife very helpful and friendly. We have many friends we have taken to the Flintlock who have asked to go back for more. The Flintlock provides fresh local ingredients and the food is freshly cooked and so a reasonable wait is enivitable.

• After a long journey we looked forward to a meal at the Flintock Arms. l ordered Plaice Chips and salad. When it arrived the coating on the fish was hard and the salad consisted of just lettuce. On complaining l found the Landlord rather rude especially when he told me the fish was fine inside the hard coating. He offered to do another fish which was grey inside. All this for �8.95p Wow!!! My wife and l walked out in disgust. Another point, we were asked to pay before the meal and were not given an itemised receipt which we thought was odd. Please if you do eat at the Flintock don't have the fish. It did look like the fish youy get in an Icelands bargain bag.
