• what an improvement ! visitied recently, havent been there for a while. has come on leaps and bounds- staff were freindly and helpful, great atmosphere and the food was fantastic for the price. will definatly be visiting again

• I often visit this pub for food and must say it has been better in the past, the guy who mentioned the food being served on a wooden board was lucky to have eaten here when owned by previous owner when the food was at its peek, sadly now its run by novices a landlady who does not know how to hold onto good chefs, portion sizes now very small to fit in with there value menu also since changed chef, think the landlady has to much influance in the kitchen and wants to save cash somehow. I like to think I support this pub by visiting it all year round even in winter when it does no buisness and today we visited and they said they where to busy to give us a table even tho the pub was empty, its lost it good coustomer service and good food, bring back Yarro and his manager he knew how to run a pub these kids and landlady do not.

• We visited this tavern last week end. The whole place needs decorating & updating. Looking very tatty. The food was not good. I ordered Nachos & what I got was a bowl with a few whole Nachos on the top & all the broken bits from the bottom of the bag underneath! The main courses were cold and didn't taste very good.Drinks were very expensive making up half of the bill! I won't be going here again which is a shame as the food here used to be good.

• i hadn`t been here for a while so was surprised when i did go that it had changed hands, wasn`t impressed with giant pot holes on entering the carpark, staff seemed friendly enough, but sorry don`t agree with staff loudly in bar area talking about customers!! we chose the starter combo platter which we shared x3 it was nearly £12.00 and was of very poor quality 3 crispy mushrooms, 5 under cooked chicken wings, chicken nuggets!! which should of been fish cakes sliced up pitta bread tiny bowl of houmous and same olives..my niece had asked for pasta but was told there wasn`t any, so we had ham/egg/chips for main which consisted of 1 slice ham 2 eggs and handfull of chips there was a long wait between meals and they didn`t seem that busy at the time.
