• Have been in twice and each time our meal was very good, generous portions and beautifully cooked, i think it must be new landlord &landlady, i took my dog in and he was given a treat and fuss so he would recommend this place as well.

• fantastic reception from both landlord and landlady. food was better than your general pub food. ownwer went out of her way to make the children feel comfortable and meet all our needs. very enjoyable

• A new landlady and chef took over in February 2013. The quality of the food, beer and service has now greatly improved!!

• Have been a visitor to the Elletsons on and off over the past years. Service & food alway ok. (nothing outstanding) went recently & had an awful reception & meal. Asked if the heating could be turned on as the place empty & freezing. Man behind bar just looked at us & said he was warm. We discussed leaving, so he went to put some heating on. Finally ordered our meal (no wine list on 3 choices on wine) meal arrived but most of it cold. Not usually one to complain but felt we had to say something, as all meals not hot. Did get a reduction on our bill, but in would not recommend or are we in a hurry to return. Shame as this pub in a good catchment area, with houses and caravan sites local. They could make a good trade here.
