• Friendly service and nice chips but overcooked tough dry fish with batter that was burnt and had been kept hot for too long. Sadly will not go there for any more than chips again.

• The good bits: friendly staff and tasty, nicely cooked chips. The bad bit, and let's face it the most important bit, the fish: one haddock that had the dark colour and chewy texture of fish that's too old, batter pretty good. One piece of cod that was just awful, dry, chewy fish in burnt batter. Dunmow deserves a decent chippy!

• Tried this Takeaway again to see if any good now. Sorry to say same badly cooked food. Fish over cooked and dry chips not cooked properly. This owner must be loosing money as all my friends in Dunmow will not use this shop anymore. Shame as good looking shop.

• overcooked fish, greasy undercooked chips, is it too much for them to use fresh fish considering the price they charged, would never eat here again, poor quality 0/10, why don't food shops provide a quality product? Like so many other food establishments, all they seem to care about is making money rather than the quality of food served, they seem to have lost their way.

• I have used Edwards twice and would not use again. the fish was over cooked and the chips were re cooked both times. Its a shame because the town needs a good quality fish and chip shop that sells fresh cooked fish not frozen defrosted cheap rubbish.

• My favorite place to eat in England. You can't get fish and chips like that in the US.

• Just paid over Over £12 for the worst cod and chips ever! Cooked to a dry crisp! Contact no does not work so unless you want to drive all the way back and complain this is your only option to let them know how bad the fish!
