• Went here for lunch. Terrific food. Unfortunately the whole lunch was spoiled by the attitude of the person I assume to be the landlady, who at best had an unfortunate manner, but at worst was downright hostile. Lack of serving staff further exacerbated the situation. We were required to order at the bar, but other more favoured clientele, were permitted to order at the table. Won't return, which is a pity because the food was truly really good and well priced, with servings that were generous.

• Been in here a couple of times over the last few months. Its clean and well looked after. Lack of places to sit unless your eating, or you want a central seat to watch sport. Meals - I had lamb shank which was fantastic and the wife had haddock which she said was delicious, however I was slightly irritated that after I had eaten my main meal the lady brought my bill, and I was about to order dessert. Very rude and felt we were been rushed out. Pub is very cold. They only seem to have a small fire which does not give off much heat, heating not on. Two young bar staff were great - friendly and smiley which is a rarity these days, though saw first hand that they were not appreciated and treat like dogs by who I now know to be the owners.

• Excellent pub - friendly staff, free WiFi, lovely setting - everything clean and tidy. I went there for lunch with my son and we were really happy with the food. The kids menu is especially good and fairly priced. We will be back! Lots
