"The Crooked Billet is now under new management with a fresh menu new staff and a will to please the customer. Giant Yorkshires are back on the menu. Open from 10-00am for coffee and cakes! "

• Lovely pub with friendly, helpful staff. Menu choice extensive and food excellent. Dog friendly to boot, well worth a visit.

• Sunday lunch aired. Was offered complimentary puddings,very nice. Service poor, some of the younger waitress were rude and need to learn customer care and ethic's of food service.

• Have been here 3 times for food, every time it has been amazing! the menu is extensive with Ostrich and other rarities like venison, veal etc all cooked to perfection and not overly priced, lovely setting opposite Lead Church,13th century church named in the doomsday book of the battle of Towton

• Sunday lunch swimming in gravy, raw cauliflower only to be told by an angry chef it was 'Al Dente" food average and overpriced!
