"This is a traditional Scottish Restaurant, open from 8.30am until 8.00pm Sunday - Friday, 8.30am until 4.00pm Saturday. Last orders half hour before closing. Menu includes Snacks, meals, vegetarian, vegan, special diets and children catered for. Take-away also offered. Large groups, private functions and parties catered for by arrangement."

• Dont know what the person above is talking about? Must be a different restuarant??? when we stayed there towards end of october we also had the venison pie....the meat melted in your mouth, the vegetables were fine and the trifle we hadwas excellent. Fine selection of home bakes too...defo recommend a cream and jam scone!!!!

• we went to the crofters resturant if you can call it a resturant more like a cafe the food was awful -frozen veg badly cooked - the venison pie tasted like water the chicken tough- they say home cooked food - what a joke and expensive as well, on complaing we were told well you are in the highlands and we cant get fresh vegatable here - the cost for four people was over 50 pounds . we went to dornoch castle hotel and for the same price we had a three course meal and fresh vegatables and superbly cooked - give the crofters a MISS
