  • 5 star reviewWe had a delicious meal here last Wednesday evening. My daughter said it was the best burger she has ever tasted. The haddock and leek fishcakes were delicious, as was the main of sirloin steak, and the desserts were fab too. The staff were pleasant and courteous . Absolutely no problems at all. Would definitely go again.

  • 1 star reviewWent in a party of 6. Service was abysmal - one of our party waited 20 minutes for the chicken to go with their Ceasar Salad - and then it came as a lump of chicken on a separate plate. They tried to pass off braising steak as ox cheek, presumably hoping we wouldn't notice. Gave up on the puddings - life was too short.

  • 5 star reviewVery pleased with the quality of food - flavour and presentation- servers were polite and pleasant - only downside is that my dining card only allows discount for two visits - if they accepted it for more I would definitely become a "regular"!!!

  • 1 star reviewwe visited your restaurant last evening and we were disappointed. High prices for lovely looking food but mostly not tasty.Poor srevice,we waited while the maitre d finfished his coffee to be brought menus nearly 25 minutes. As it was such a cold night we all had coats no one even asked could they look after them or put them out of the way.It is along time since that has happened even in lesser places.Overall over priced and poor.

  • 2 star reviewwe went as part of a large family group and had pre-ordered our courses. The building was lovely and the food outstanding - clearly they have a very good chef. However, we will not go again. The service and waiting staff were terrible. Most were young teenagers who clearly hadn't been given the relevant training. We waited 20 minutes for our drink orders. We had to ask for cutlery between courses. Whoever was over-seeing the show was doing a bad job of managing his staff which is such a shame with such fantastic food on the menu.

  • 5 star reviewFABULOUS!! Treated my daughter to a meal here on Tuesday afternoon and we weren't disappointed. Well worth the wait for the opening, the team working there are very friendly with genuine smiles, rare these days!! Customer service is one of the best we have received, the dcor is modern but comfortable, views towards Cheshire stunning. On to the food, FANTASTIC!! We enjoyed every course from the chefs choice platter, the main of burger and HUGE chips with side salad through to the highlight, DESERT!I went for a Cointreau truffle, Sara decided on the Baileys cheesecake, a perfect end to a wonderful meal.We both struggled to finish but refused to be beaten.Every new business needs to establish itself, team members need to become comfortable with the surroundings they work in to give their best, we felt comfortable from start to finish, the young team there need to continue as they are, friendly, positive, believe in themselves, ignore negatives.Defiantly booking again.

  • 5 star reviewWithout a doubt the best food I've had in the area, I had the crab and duck cakes for starter and then a beautifully cooked fillet steak for main. We were lucky that the weather was nice and before our meal we could sit on the terrace at the back of the restaurant and enjoy the scenic views across Chester. We had planned to go on from there but if was a nice relaxing atmosphere so we ended up staying there all night.

  • 1 star reviewUpon arrival the place looked very smart and was the same on the inside however once in we were told to sit and wait for a table even though whilst looking around i could see at least 10 tables free? after 10 minutes our drink orders were taken, however after 10 minutes of waiting the drinks were brought over which the waiter droped all over us,after cleaning it up we were given fresh drinks which we still payed full price for,i wasnt holding out much hope when i noticed the head chef shaking his head that food he had put out ready was being just left on the side even though he shouted the waitreses numerous time to collect them which they ignored. After a further 10 mins we were shown to our table but no order were taken and after a further 20 mins with no order being taken even though the place was half empty and the staff were standing around talking, we decided that with this the fact we were wet from the clumsey waiter and the extremely expensive prices 13.00 for a burger we were going to leave as we starting getting up to go then they decided to come and take our orders but it was to late so we went elsewhere extremely dissapointed in the croeshowell restaurant after two days of being open this was shocking.
