"Traditional country pub nestling right at the top of the esk valley. Campers and touring caravans always welcome.Although a restaurant is not available snacks hot and cold can be provided as requested."

• Fantastic little pub, a very warm and open welcome, visited it for the first time tonight and will certainly be going back again :-) . Bags of character , taking you back in time with its charm . Cleveland inn , see you again very soon.

• I would have put a review on TripAdvisor about this place, but it wasn't on there unfortunately! DO NOT go to this pub!!! We walked in and smelt a musty smell and this elderly lady greeted us. I asked for a menu so I could see what there was to offer, and she looked at me horrified and said - I've got no menu! We didn't even eat there, and left. To put further comments in the wing, the place looked filthy and the lady who greeted us wasn't friendly and welcoming. The WORST pub ever! We ended up going to Castleton tea rooms where the food in there was 5* and delicious. Highly recommend it! Don't go here, there are a lot better places than this.

• There is always a welcome from Brian and his mum Pat.Yes it is a real pub with real characters. If you would like to meet some of them be there over Christmas especialy Boxing Day.
