• A bunch of incompetents and unreliable people. I had to double check their work constantly due to the amount of mistakes made. They never call you back even if it is urgent. Only good at charging for everything they do, even minor things other accountants wouldn't.

• Not giving my name but trust me if my experience is anything to go by you need to give these clowns a very wide berth. Their 'accountants' can't add up and can't follow a calendar. They pay the wrong amounts on the wrong dates, they cannot follow simple instructions. The number of errors I have had - well I've lost count to be honest. Their Personal Tax team are actually very good but the numpties that do the books - where they find them God alone knows but qualified accountants they most certainly are not. I am currently still with them but will not be for much longer, I'd happily stump up the £240 to be rid of them. I have to re-check every single invoice, remittance, expense, VAT and PAYE bills; it would be quicker and cheaper to do my own books. I repeat do not use these clowns - look elsewhere - you have been warned!

• I feel bad about awarding 1 star, as this is a bit misleading. A minus figure would be much more appropriate. I have to agree with all the other reviews on here, that the service I received from Churchill Knight was nothing short of appalling. Pay advice would either turn up late or not at all; they send out an email containing their other clients email addresses; their response to complaints was either non existent, slow, or pointless – ie they could not give any explanation for why problems had occurred or stop them from happening again; and they messed up my accounting and suggested I should take a loan out to rectify their mistakes. Even better than that is when you try to leave, so that another accountant can tidy up their mess, they want to charge you a £240 fee. They claim this is to transfer your accounts. But if you tell them that you don't want to use their transfer service, as you are going to have to redo everything anyway, they still insist that you pay. And then, just to make sure, they threaten legal action. So would I recommend Churchill Knight? Not a chance! For much less money you can use one of the accounting companies where you have your own dedicated accountant who will provide you with a competent service which is tailored to you, rather than an organisation which outsources their work, and where your only point of contact is with admin staff. Whatever they call themselves.

• I had to resubmit this review as I didn't want to give them any stars. Terrible service, late submissions, incorrect invoicing, expensive, attitude either incompetent or arrogant. Plus the £200 fee to transfer after the hell they've put me through? I'm making it my life's work to tell everyone just how terrible they are.

• Cka employs a lot of assistant who's not even accountant. It's More expensive than others, substandard and just troublesome really as each time you call someone different answer the query. No consistency whatsoever. Don't sign up as you'll regret. If you transfer to other agency, they charge you 200pound for that.

• I had to get paid through Churchill-Knight 3 years ago to work for a particular firm, I wasn’t happy about the £150 a month fee but as I say, it was the only way. All was otherwise fine until the firm ran out of work for a few months. I took the CKA payment holiday for 3 months but this firm’s work still wasn’t in view so I contacted CKA to begin the closedown procedure, filled out the forms and sent them back. 8 months later I went into the private online bank they’d made me set up to keep tax money in, to find it completely empty! CKA had kept taking £150 a month even though they could plainly see there was no money coming in! As a ‘goodwill gesture’ they refunded a laughable 1 month of this and promised not to take it any more but then took it again the next month. I feel like I can’t warn enough people about CKA…
