• Been eating curries for more than 40 years now and the waiter laughed when I told him this saying I had been eating curry longer than he had. This I can say was one of the best curries and dining experience I have had in all that time. The staff were brilliant - attentive and happy to fill all of our needs and as I said the food was magnificent. I will be back and that is quite a recommendation for me as I live 20 miles away. I would give this 5 stars - a truly magical experience

• Im a team leader at Shoosmiths solicitors, and Chillies was recommended by a fellow colleague.. We arrived at Chillies Indian Restaurant on a friday evening around 19;30 hours, sixteen of us in total, how ever we did not make a reservation, and no tables were available for an estimated 45 minutes, a well dressed, polite mannered waiter named 'mohid' (found out name later on in the evening) escorted us to the bar area through a set of doors from the restaurant floor, and told us, we'l come n get u when table is ready.. This bar (Bar Serenity) situated in the same complex as chillies restaurant, i assume it belongs to the same management. I wasn't to happy to start with, but bare in my mind it was a friday night and we made no reservations, most reputable restaurants are quite busy on friday evenings. So here we are at the bar (Bar Serenity) we ordered beer and wine for the ladies, not too expensive, good fast polite service.. The bar, was quite impressive, clean and tidy, posseses a modern feel, good music, good atmosphere.. The waiter (mohid) came up, stated our table was ready, which seemed like only 15 minutes, from the 45 minutes time scale, we requested to stay at the bar a little longer as we all were enjoying our drinks and music.. After a few round's at the bar, we decided to attend our table at the restaurant.. We were escorted to the table, we made our selves comfortable, the restaurant seemed very busy, good decor and atmosphere, impressing.. Waiter handed out menu's, and we ordered drinks and poppadums with the relishes..Poppadums arrived within a few minutes and the drinks within about an estimated 8 minutes.. After about 20 minutes, the waiter (mohid) came to take our order, we wont too sure what to order as we were chatting away and the drinks took there effect, i stated that we all want a variety of starters and maincourse with vegetable sides and rice and naan.. Waiter (mohid) stated leave it with me ill arrange a mixture from our menu, and asked if there was any vegeterians amongst us, and if we liked spicy curries..Twenty minutes later, our starters arrived on four large sizzling platters with seperate starter plates dressings and dips.. It looked mouth watering and well presented, couldnt wait to dig in.. ;-) Started were of good size after sharing out wat was on the platter, tasty and spicey and a good variety.. After we had our starters, we recommended if we can go back to the bar for a few rounds, as we were already quite full, and delayed the maincourse.. After an hour of entertainment at the bar, we returned to the restaurant, a waiter carried our drinks over to our table, 10 minutes later our maincourse was served, i was a little tipsy at this stage, but i know quality food, when i see it, well presented, plates nice n warm, again good choice of currys and a variety of sides and naan, rice.. We all got dugg in and consumed all we can.. ladies made room for dessert too.. The food was excellent, we all enjoyed the drinks, atmosphere and service.. Talked to some of the waiters, as one of them was a high school friend, found out its a family run business by four brothers.. impressing.. I told them i would recommend them to all my colleagues, family and freinds.. The bill came to a total of £ 448,00, which breaks down to £ 28 pounds per person, which does not include the 4 or 5 rounds of drinks we had at the bar (estimate £160,00).. which is quite reasonable... Waiter (mohid) also bought us a round of drinks, flame litten sambuca's, hennessy brandy and baileys. which was much appreciated.. Overall, we all had a good time at the bar, good music, good staff, good atmoshere.. The restaurant was great, food was excellent along with the service.. Since my experience at Chillies
