• I made a list of country pubs which looked nice as i passed doing deliveries from Tesco Stafford.My wife, in laws and myself have visited quite a few for meals over the passed months which is really enjoyable.So far we have to say that the "Cavendish arms" was the best all round.That being the food-prices,service and general likeability of the pub.It was a hot day and we sat outside,the landlord and landlady were very nice, we had cottage pie with veg - steak and ale pie with veg and the mother in law (94) had soup of the day made especially for her.They gave us a few proper chips on the side as well.So to us they deserve our five star rating.Well done compliments to the Chef !
