• A nice quaint grade II listed building situated in a cobbled market square in the heart of a Yorkshire Dales village, sounds perfect doesnt it ........... until you decide to have a meal there. Just about the worst meal experience I can remember. As if the frozen bland tasteless microwaved meal and music loud enough to drown out any conversation you attempt to have wasn't bad enough the dogs freely wandering around sniffing at your table should be enough to put you off. I think I would have got more satisfaction from £20 if I had gone out into the market square and given it to the first local vagrant I could find. Don't be fooled by the exterior or the apparent jovial atmosphere coming from the locals standing round the bar, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.
