• Do not use campus cribs. I came to view the property in august and the house was still in works/refurbishment. The agent promised me that the house would be finished by september in time for me to start uni. On coming there in the night i. September after a long tiring journey from London, i came to a house with not carpet in the hallway and stairs. My room just had a pile of mattresses untidily piled on top of the other, no other furniture and no curtains. The kitchen had no fridge, furniture, bins. Bathroom had no mirror or bin. There was no mop, hoover to do any cleaning. I got no explanation from the agent who basically brushed aside the fact that he had been dishonest with me in promising that the house would be ready. We had to pester him before we got a fridge (took about 2 weeks to arrive) and constantly had to pester to get other furniture such as tables and chairs, wardrobes, blinds. All the while, rent had already been paid so i felt cheated. It took about a month for the house to be finally finished with most of what we need. The agent has never shown any remorse for what we went through. In fact, he still hasnt provided a bin in the kitchen and we're at the end of november. The kitchen is full of flies as a result of us using cardboard boxes as bins. We also still dont have a hoover to hoover the carpet. He recently tried to prevent us from having any access to the thermostat to change the heating without informing us and so we cant control the heating in the house and its winter. I would not wish anyone to go through what we've been rough, hence im making this review.
