• Terrible agency. Avoid at all costs. We moved into our rented house last September: it was dirty, there was rubbish in the basement and patio area, the walls were mouldy and there were holes in the furniture. It took C&R properties several attempts to sort these things out. The shower leaked into the kitchen and the first time it rained the water came in through the roof. At one point my housemate was told (by Gurmet) to wipe the mould off the wall herself when he came over to see it. I have now left the property and am still waiting for my deposit (I moved out 5 weeks ago) which is in breach of our contract which states we have it returned within 2 weeks. After contacting C&R they said it was our responsibility to reclaim our deposit. They also never called the utilities companies with our final meter reading and I was therefore charged for my monthly direct debit after I moved out - Gurmet said he would sort all of this for me. Why we each paid a £150 admin fee I'll never know because I did all the admin myself. There were 5 of us in the house so they receied £750 in admin fees overall. Avoid this agency at all costs. They are surly, rude, unhelpful and take as much from you as they can.
