• Have been a customer of the Huddersfield branch for a number of years, but I won't be attending again. I booked in for an eye test as I had noticed a constant black floater in my eye, and was concerned due to certain medications that I am on. I made this clear when booking my appointment. I arrived to be told we recommend an eye test every 2 years. I asked why they've had me return annually if that's the case. They couldn't answer me. I was then greeted by the gentleman optician who really seemed like he was ready for home, and I was bothering him. He told me to mind my legs a split second before smashing the eye test machines into my knee when swinging it around. Despite it obviously causing me quite some discomfort, I didn't even get a hint of an apology. When I explained why I was having this test, he simply responded "everyone gets floaters...", I advised him that previous ones had disappeared, and so for me personally this was unusual. He gave the impression he couldn't care less, and didn't attempt to explain why it was there and why it was nothing to worry about. I was quickly escorted upstairs to be lumped with a £25 bill and shown a range of expensive glasses. I asked why this was the case, and they explained well your prescription is now slightly different. I asked how much by, and they couldn't really answer me. It was all just a bit of a shambles, and I won't be returning.

• Do not use this company. On my first visit they got my prescription wrong and I had to have my eyes tested again. My husband lost his glasses so whent f9r some more. Ordered the glasses on Tuesday lunchtime with a delivery time of 7 to 10 days, and then fortunately on the following day, Wednesday morning someone found them so I rang Boots at 9.05am Wednesday to cancel the order only to be told I couldn't no customer service at all.
