• Birthday meal for 8 of us on Saturday evening absolutely no complaints, food was hot and delicious only problem was there was too much choice and we were all too full! Can’t wait to go back excellent value for money

• Ime my mum and sister went last tuesday at 12pm not much room round the food area the tables were small i ended up with chicken gougons chips and mushy peas no mash mum had fish and sister had curry ive had better wont be revisiting the blue anchor again

• A very disappointing first/last visit to the Blue Anchor. The food was very poor, my fathers food was cold yet my son in laws was too hot to eat. My daughter found nothing suitable to eat as a vegetarian as she didn't want the vegetable curry.Overall the food tasted re-heated and re-heated. Not fresh at all, lacked gravy. The seating area was also poor we sat at a table that my father at 75years old had to shuffle round a corner and down the side to get to his seat. Overall a very poor night out we were home in a 50min round trip. We think a lot of thought was put into the refurbishment of the pub but detail and quality lacked when it came to the food.
