• Phoned to make a booking for 19H30 was told they could only accommodate at 20H00 - wanted to make booking in my surname, was told I could not as they aready had a table booked in that name!Arrived to find the restaurant empty. Stood around and eventually had to find somebody to seat us - table right in front of an open door, no lighting, unset, drafty and cold. Had to wait at least 10 minutes to be attended to - moved to a different table which was well lit and set. Could not fault the food other than the plates being cold. No follow up by waiting staff. Chose desserts to find out that our choise was not available. This is my second visit and in both instances I was disappointed by the service - would not recommend.

• After going on/off to this pub a few times, i have now decided to give it a miss altogether. The new mangers are not running the place professionally. Whilst eating my dinner there a couple of weeks ago, the male manager decided to start doing DIY and began sanding down a table next to us . Dust was flying in the air and frankly, very unhyginic and noisy. What was he thinking? One star even seems to much... Would add though, the waitress was fantastic and run off her feet.
