• on arrival there was some unlikely gentlemen drinking cans of stella outside! i found the whole thing distasteful. As a key resident of bickley I found the place to be well out of its depth in what it trying to achieve. The decor is also distasteful a pub or bar trying to be a high end restaurant but not achieving the status. I had purchased a large glass of a fine white whine which the bar man a tallish chap with glasses had recommended to me although he did explain that he�s knowledge of the whines was not excellent as they had only just opened and there was so much on offer he had not quite got he�s head round it himself. This may sound like a good point but it�s not when you feel the way i do after leavening. It was in the daytime just before I had to catch the train into London from Chislehurst and i was the only customer at the bar. . I was on my own so started to have a fine chat to him about the wine list and the origins of the menu when he was ruddily interpreted by someone who appeared to be a manger and i use the term loosely. A extremely rude interruption by an Australian gentleman which I will not forget in a hurry i was disgusted at the way with which he spoke towards the barman and especially in the fact he was in mid conversation with myself trying to sell the idea of the place to me. This is a jumped up dive with i expect ill treated staff as having a conversation with a waitress i found out that the service charge goes straight to the company and she only receives six pound an hour and works from 11 to 1 in the morning sometimes without receiving a normal brake hour. All in all i was terribly disappointed with my visit to and I quote �THE NEW BICKLEY� and as a wealthy well establish member in the community I would never chose to visit the place again.
