• We stayed at "The Bears Head " on 15 to 17 th June 2012 Accomadation was great but the meal on 16th Saturday when we had our guests was dreadful.We asked to speak to the manager but was told he was busy in the kitchen, the waitress who looked after us was very nice and helpful, the manager never appeared. we are not very happy about this situation and will not be going to this restruant again.Our guests live locally and we live in North Wales and two of our guests are my relatives.We are not very Happy About This event .

• My family and I lived in Sandbach for many years but moved about 10 years ago. The Bear's Head always had an excellent reputation for food standards but oh! how things can change. We came for a family meal yesterday to be told there was no mustard when sirloin steak was on the Chef's Speciality list, no ice for drinks - what, in a pub? and the Black Forest Sundae dessert they claimed to have 'sold out' when they were hardly brimming over with customers - we couldn't quite make out who'd bought all the Black Forest Sundaes! Surely someone could have been sent to Waitrose for mustard and packs of ice cubes if it was only to save face. As for the dessert, well the whole scenario spells out poor management.Needless to say, we won't be returning or singing your praises. The food was, by the way, reasonable but nothing to get excited about.
