• Stay well away! I'm sure that 99% of the time they manage to do their job properly, but you don't want them working for you if things go wrong or they make a mistake. We had the misfortune of having them manage the sale of our house/purchase of a new property in 2012/13. One of the associates exchanged contracts before ensuring that all of the mortgage company's conditions were met, and the whole thing almost fell through! Unbeknownst to us, the new house had no buildings insurance in place at the time of the surveys, and of course no-one wanted to insure when potential problems were found. This amateur error not only almost cost us our deposit but also the sale on the house, and meant that we wasted 2 months' rent waiting for the senior partner to 'sort it out'. It was such a stressful time, my wife was pregnant, and it looked as if we would be left without a roof over our head when his entire team couldn't find an insurer. We eventually took it on ourselves, and after a few hours on the internet found an insurance company that would meet the mortgage conditions. Complete ineptitude! At the end of it all, they walked away paying only the interest that had accrued from the delayed sale, without any damages and happily pocketed their full fee! Not once did they even apologise for the mistake - calculated coldheartedness!! Not the kind of service you'd expect from a company who claim that you can: '...rely on us as a good friend.. someone who never lets you down.. is always there for you in a crisis .. listens to you.. helps you overcome your problems .. and stands with you as you share your successes'. Beware, beware, beware!!!!!
