• Asda St Lenard Street Dunfermline I have been a shopper at this branch for many years. My initial opinion of the store relates to various facts and observations over the past 20 or so years. I refer to Asda St Lenard’s street in Dunfermline as a very sighted place, shoppers will find the staff extremely helpful to the extent of accompanying those making enquiries as to where an item is to the actual shelf that this is placed, on request they will be assisted to their beloved car with their bags and sent on their merry way more than satisfied with the service. The sighted shopper will be given much assistance at the kiosk to read lottery tickets that they can already read. On the other hand if you are a visually impaired shopper it is a somewhat different story, while it is certainly fair to say the management of the store are more than willing to assist, this cannot always be said about some of the staff, who will point to the item one requires and merely walk away leaving the customer uncertain as to where the member of staff has vanished to. While it is fair to say many of the girls on customer services will find someone to assist persons with special needs, there are those who make a song and dance about this issue stating the customer must phone well in advance and even then may be kept waiting for a length of time before a member of staff is found. In conclusion my findings indicate that marginally Asda St Lenard’s Street is ahead of its larger branch at hallbeath in Dunfermline, even if the range of items are more restricted as in the bakery department, where you will be assisted by some sour face young girls telling us we should have visited the store earlier in the morning to get what we need. I would however recommend this store to any shopper in the area and would emphasize most of the staff are of a reasonably friendly nature, bearing in mind if you are a sighted customer require something to be read that you can already read they will assist without any problem Mr Jay Jackson
