• A project which was supposed to take 6 weeks is still not complete after 5 months and I have had to arrange to finance a new contractor to finish the project. Mr Salah Kamel walked off the project leaving doors unpainted, a driveway full of rubble and other materials as well as an overflowing skip. He damaged carpets and renaged on supplying new carpets.  The fire doors were the wrong ones, the shower room was offplan and smaller than agreed, the skirting has joins in the middle on two of the main walls which they havent even attempted to disguise, plasterwork has trowel lines and chips, doors frames and woodwork are cracked, the new staircase has three different types of paint and is unpainted in some areas and roof tiles where the velux windows were added have been left uneven and loose.

• Slow, Unprofessional and poorly managed is my view, however after taking 5 months to work on a loft conversion which was supposed to take 6 weeks i think that would be considered SLOW. Unprofessional:- didnt finish the project, walked off without completing the work prior to Christmas and has left me to find a new contractor and pay for the work to be completed. From paying a deposit in MAY and suppplying a plan and work schedule of itmes reuired to complete he didnt start work until AUG. After two weeks the work stopped again as the structural plans were not sufficient for the locla council and it took 3 attempts and 5 weeks before they were accepted. Built the bathroom off plan but hasnt given a reaosn as to why he couldnt follow the plans properly? Left a skip and rubble in my driveway i had to pay to get removed and then spent 4 hours cleaning the path because it was stained from the skip being there for 5 months. Didnt finish the woodwork properly, left doors and frames unpainted, supplied the worng fire doors, didnt supply the carpet as agreed and didnt replace the damaged carpet. Poorly managed- I rarely heard from the MD Mr Salah KAMEL unless it was bad news or when he wanted money. Time management, attention to detail, fulfilling his promises, generally unreliable and irresponsible- that to me is poor management.
