• Having never been to Frome we popped in today for a light snack as the venue externally looked very appealing. Unfortunatley our experience was a negative one and we would not consider returning . The initial service at the bar took some time, yes I understand that you are busy and according to the barstaff short staffed but surely this is no reason to allow other customers to blatantly queue jump to place their orders when we had been patently waiting for service. Some members of our party were initialy told there were no alternatives to the set menu option for lunch which was obviousl not the case as other customers were able to order from an alternative menu. I also dont think it is fair to not publish prices on the specials board for sandwiches and salads. Regretable i should have asked in advance as the extortianate price of 7.95 for a very small sandwich and 8.95 for a ceaser salad (not even with chicken) really was not justiied in my opinion. The portions were very small and one member of our party was given a ham sandwich with very stale old bread, whilst another had a goats cheese salad complete with a few strands of human hair. On returning the sandwich the new one was clearly made with the same bread and again inedible. The food in our honest opinion was not value for money and both the crisps(with the sandwiches) and chips were very greasy. To summarise we all felt our lunch to be a very dissapointing experience and we simply can't reccomend this venue. A shame as externally very aesthetically pleasing .Real shame.
