• My son has just moved to Burbage and I have been in the Anchor now a few times. This is a proper pub. Great decor, good atmosphere and superb beer. The service is brilliant,I have never had to wait to be served for very long.

• Friday Lunch. No food needed. Beautiful rolls - well-filled - available. The best bits were the utter competence of the owner/manager: as evidenced by the tidiness/cleanliness of the place. Great pictures/framed nautical things. The lady who served us {Mary} was a wonderful hostess.
