• Chicken kebabs are just amazing!!!! My 8 and 6 year old always ask for one when we visit friends in Hesketh Bank. Don't feel guilty either - it's a healthy takeaway!!!!

• Amelio's is a quality pizzeria, much better than the chain pizzerias. Fresh ingredients and I've seen the pizza base dough being made in the kitchen area. I really don't know why it's got such bad reviews on this site as the comments here do not accord at all with my experience of the place. I highly recommend it.

• Appears that the previous reviews are somewhat malicious attacks on the owner. The police have been made aware and are dealing with this. I've seen the prep with my own eyes and everything is made from fresh ingredients. Well worth the trip, excellent fresh food lovingly prepared.

• frozen super market pizzas are superior quality compared to the output from this shop. Ended up going the chippy next door after eating one slice.

• Terrible. Ready made bases and garlic bread with cheese like cheese on toast with no flavour. Was almost as cold as the shop during my 25 minute wait.

• The pizza dough tasted more like stale bread, The wait was predicted at 30 mins, It took 1 hour to arrive. Cold upon arrival. Very little pizza sauce given. Not a happy customer, I will not be ordering from there ever again. Nice chap who owns the place but really needs to improve his recipes.
