• I stayed at the Amble In with my two sons when we visited Newcastle to play Royal County Down. I can only repeat the great comments that so many others have made in their reviews. The accommodations were excellent: clean, modern, quiet, comfortable. Breakfast was great. And of course the weather was perfect! But when I travel, I always remember the people I meet more than the places I stay. And Frances and Colm are memorable people. We had wonderful chats with them when we arrived and all during breakfast. About Newcastle, about them and their family, about the things that Newcastle offers. And I also gave Colm an unusual logo ball from my home course in Boston. I wonder if he put in with his collection? If you have a chance, stay at the Amble In. You will love it.
