• I visited the tearooms along with 49 other people. We all found the owners to be very kind and helpful nothing was too much trouble for them and the little oasis they have created there was very welcoming along with the excellent scone tea. I really don't know what Karl Malin was talking about perhaps he was in another tearoom. To cater for such a lot of people at the same time is no mean feat however everything was to perfection and I will be returning with another coach party next year knowing that we will not be disappointed.

• I recently visited the abbey tea rooms on a journey through Tewkesbury. and i must say what a marvelous place it is indeed. Its full of character and joy. The owners of this tea's room are also very nice people and should be proud of the great service and great quality food they provide. Might i also add that the two previous comments are very innacurate, the cakes, scones, tea and coffee are just brilliant. Advice to anyone who lives or is passing through Tewkesbury should take a look for themselves. You will be pleasantly surprised.!

• Hot and travel weary, never having visited Tewkesbury before, we went into the Abbey Tearooms. It is absolutely delightful, full of charm and character. We found shade in the garden by the little water feature, surrounded by flowers. Bliss. I had a fruit scone which was delicious and as a home baker I'm quite fussy. Husband enjoyed his jam pudding though disappointed there was no custard. We left feeling very refreshed and will certainly return on our next visit to Tewkesbury which is a most delightful little town and the Abbey is awesome.

• My friend and I had lunch here today and I can highly recommend it. We sat in the courtyard garden which was delightful ~ full of flowers, plants and interesting ornaments. The food was delicious and the coffee was good ~ so good that we both had a second cup. The cakes and scones looked lovely though we didn't sample them. We are planning a return visit for afternoon tea!

• I agree with Karl. My scone was dry and the coffee I was presented with as a cappuccino was not.

• I visit the Abbey tearooms everytime I come to Tewkesbury (which is a lot!). Ian and Wendy are very friendly, helpful and efficient. Wendy's cooking is second to none and all the cakes and scones are homemade. I have not yet found a cream tea better than here - and I have had a lot of cream teas! For the quality and quantity of food here the prices are good value. Whoever left the review before this one either has no taste buds, or has reviewed the wrong cafe. All the products are the highest quailty, and you don't make the Tea Council by serving up cheap subsitutes. Will look forward to seeing Ian and Wendy again soon.

• Very disappointed. I had a cafetiere of coffee and it was obviously very cheap beans, tasted like nescafe. The cake was very dry. It was all expensive too and we wont be returning.
