• Contracted by south east water to fix an issue. They were supposed to call when on their way, they didn't. They bowled in asking for food, tried to work out a reason not to do the work, which imaginatively they dreamed up «stuck valves under the floor boards» and then they left. I'll give them a grand for every valve under my floorboards, stuck or otherwise. My heart goes out to you if south east water send them to you, however if you have a choice there are real tradesmen out there, one who fixed the issue in the way south east water had originally diagnosed, no floorboards were removed and he was equally mystified as to what valves they refer to.
