• Five of us had Sunday lunch yesterday. My pate starter was excellent. Three of us had roast beef. We all felt that the gravy was excessively salted, the roast potatoes slightly over salted and the mashed potatoes were bland. Worst of all, the Yorkshire puddings were cremated on the underside. The chef obviously never tasted the gravy and there was no way that he did not know about the burnt offering. I didn't bother with a dessert after that. Very disappointing.

• An amazing meal, the staff looked after us and the fillet and the sirloin were the best steaks we have ever had.
